The hospital was founded in 1989, with the precedence of providing health care, mainly to the women folks. It was initially known as Tee Maternity and later changed to Metro Maternity when more doctors join in. It was changed to Hospital Wanita Metro in 2010.

Later, we add health care and services for those facing problems in conceiving. Metro IVF was setup in 1998 as an integral part of Hospital Wanita Metro that provides investigations and treatments to infertile couples. It is also the first fertility centre in Klang. Our first baby conceived by IVF was born in 2000.

Our paediatric clinic was started in 2006 to provide well childcare, immunizations, consultations, emergency services and care for acute and chronic illnesses for children.

Hospital Wanita Metro continues to expend and had its Banting branch, Hospital Wanita Metro Banting opened in 2007. Hospital Wanita Metro Banting commenced its services in April 2008. Since then, it provides delivery services as well. It is well-equipped with latest equipments so that it can provide latest obstetrics and gynaecological services to the public.
